Outlander Cover Illustration

Client: School Project — Myers School of Art: Illustration

This was the final project for an Illustration course. I wanted to illustrate the book in an interesting style that would still have the same feeling of being from another time period (like the protagonist of the novel travels back in time) but I wanted to make it more colorful, so I chose a more “folk art” type style. I was inspired in part by artists such as Carson Ellis and her work for The Decemberists.
